About GMC Transport

Established in 1987, GMC Transport is based at two strategically located sites:

Peterlee, County Durham

Home to the GMC head office, Peterlee is a high security facility with proven expertise, housing the control centre of the GMC operation.

From this base, GMC employ the latest technology to monitor and control the vehicle fleet to undertake national and international transportation of customer consignments ranging from J.I.T. packages to full and part loads.

Tilbury, Essex

Located close to the gateway to Europe, this 20,000 sq ft distribution and storage facility is strategically placed to provide daily distribution services into Central London and the South East, South Coast and East Anglia.

This location enables GMC to offer fast access into mainland Europe for express deliveries and scheduled services. The facility is also geared to the receipt of goods from Europe for onward distribution to UK locations.

GMC operate a modern fleet of more than 40 vehicles ranging from 3.5 tonne sprinter vans to 44 tonne tractor units with the choice of curtain sided or box trailers.
